The Telegu sports drama Jersey is remade in Hindi starring Shahid Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapoor. Director Gowtham Tinnanuri who directed the original also heads the remake. The plot centers on a talented but unsuccessful cricketer who returns to cricket for his son in his late 30s. The film is aiming for Diwali release and will clash with Akshay Kumar’s Prithviraj.
2. Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru
Unlike most of the movies on the list, directed by Karthick Naren Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru was a sleeper hit that ultimately managed to impress viewers and critics alike. The Hindi remake titled Sanki will star Varun Dhawan and Parineeti Chopra. The film is being supported by Sajid Nadiadwala, according to TOI. Dhawan will be seen as an agent in the film, while Naren will also direct the Bollywood remake.
