Gautam Adani and his relatives have pledged to donate Rs 60,000 crore, which is one of the largest charitable donations by Indian corporate families. The money will be used in education, healthcare, and skill development, according to his logistics-to-energy conglomerate. The Adani Foundation will manage the donation.
The statement stated that “To maximize India’s demographic advantage, it is necessary to focus on the areas of healthcare, education, and skill development.”

Adani will now join the ranks of Indian corporate houses making large charitable donations. According to the 2021 EdelGive Hurun Philanthropists, of the century’s top philanthropists, Jamsetji Tata is the highest valued donor of the past century with an estimated value of $102.4 billion. Azim Premji, the Wipro founder, has donated $22 billion to his foundation.
