Covid-19: Now get vaccinated 24x7 at your convenience | India News - Times of India

NEW DELHI: The Union health ministry has given hospitals the permission to administer the Covid-19 vaccine to those who are eligible as per their convenience.
“The government has ended the time constraint to increase the speed of vaccination. Citizens of the country can now get vaccinated 24×7 at their convenience,” Union health minister Harsh Vardhan wrote in a tweet in Hindi on Twitter.
India began the second phase of Covid vaccination on Monday, making it available to senior citizens and people aged 45 or above with comorbdities.
The second phase of the vaccination drive aims to cover almost 10 crore people.
Several prominent political leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, home minister Amit Shah, defence minister Rajnath Singh, health minister Harsh Vardhan, Kerala CM Pinararyi Vijayan and Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik have already taken the vaccines.
As per the health ministry, a total of 1,56,20,749 people in the country have been vaccinated against Covid-19 till now.
