Deepak Dobriyal is an Indian film and actor from the theatre He is a theatre and film actor who primarily is employed in the Hindi movie industry. He was awarded the Filmfare award. His notable Hindi films are Omkara (2006), Tanu Weds Manu (2011), Dabangg 2 (2012), Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015), Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015) and Hindi Medium (2017). The internet exploded with his popularity for his film Good Luck Jerry. The cast of the film includes Jahvi Kapoor as the lead character along with Mita Vashisht Neeraj Sood and Sushant Singh playing the leading part.
He began performing in 1994 through his work with an established theatre group called Ashmita Theater with director Arvind Gaur. His most prominent parts in Arvind Gaur’s plays include Andha Yug, Tughlaq, Final Solutions, Desire Under the Elms, The Caucasian Chalk Circle, The Good Person of Szechwan, Rakt Kalyan, Court Martial, Dario Fo’s Operation Three Star The Ashok Lul’s Ek Mamooli Aadmi. After six years of Asmita theatre He was a part of Act One with director Pt. N. K. Sharma. He acted in Aao Saathi Sapna Dekhen, Hamaar Baabuji ki chhattri and Aksar Maine Socha Hai.
Deepak Dobriyal made his feature film debut in 2001 in the film Maqboolfollowed with several popular Bollywood films, including Delhi 6 (2009), Gulaal (2009), Tanu Weds Manu (2011), Dabangg 2 (2012), Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015) and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015). The film has been well-loved and well-respected for his performances in these films.
