Legendary yesteryear actor Jeetendra turns 79 today, on April 7. Like every year, Jeetendra’s kids Tusshar and Ekta Kapoor, will shower their dad with love and make the day extra special for him. However, the celebrations were marred by the countrywide lockdown last year in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, and this year too, considering the second wave of the outbreak, the family will be looking at a low-key celebration. ETimes caught up with the veteran actor’s son Tusshar Kapoor to find out how they were planning to celebrate and here’s what he had to say…

Speaking about dad Jeetendra’s birthday, Tusshar Kapoor said, “Owing to the ongoing situation, dad’s birthday will be a low-key family affair. And it has always been this way, just with close family and friends. However, this year, celebrations will be more intimate for obvious reasons”.

Jeetendra needs no introduction. The prolific actor has delivered more than 121 box-office hits in his long career and has wowed the audience with his acting prowess and dance chops. Even now, he continues to entertain fans with notable on-screen appearances.

Meanwhile, son Tusshar Kapoor is a hands-on dad to the five-year-old son, Laksshya Kapoor, and often shares candid pictures on the tot on social media. On the work front, Tusshar is on cloud nine after the success of ‘Laxmii’, which was his debut film as a producer.
