The couple reportedly tied the knot at Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch.
It has been reported that one of the most talked-about couples in music, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton tied the knot, getting married over the weekend in a private ceremony.
On July 3, 2021, photos of Shelton’s Oklahoma home showed it had been redecorated as the ultimate wedding destination, complete with a tiny chapel purpose-built for the occasion, decorated with white flowers, surrounded by an outdoor seating area. Although the newlyweds were not seen on camera, Stefani’s parents were transported to and from the event and several musicians.
The married couple, who got engaged in october 2020, Reportedly applied for their marriage license on June 29, according to TMZ, whose sources claimed that: the couple was planning to get married on the weekend of July 4. The stars had planned an “entire weekend of activities and celebrations” to celebrate their big day.
Stefani and Shelton first met while working as judges on NBC’s “The Voice” and they had both just come out of a divorce. They started dating shortly after, which made their… first appearance on the red carpet as a couple in February 2016 at the Vanity Fair Oscar afterparty.
Their relationship continued to blossom from there, and Shelton even credited Stefani for saving his life. In an interview with Billboard, the country star explained how the breakdown of their previous relationships helped them form a close bond. “It went from checking in via email once a week […] up to maybe three times a week, then every day,” he said. “Before I know it, I wake up and all I care about is her, and I wonder if she feels the same way about me.”
“Gwen is saving my life,” Shelton continued. “Who else on earth could possibly understand that a high-profile divorce from another musician must take place? You can’t even imagine the similarities in our divorces.”
