The 46 municipal elections in Haryana recorded a 10-percent point decrease from the previous voturnout amidmidf continued protests in opposition to protests against the Agnipath scheme. A government official suggested that the ongoing anti-government protests over the Agnipath scheme could be a factor in the lower turnout this time even though there weren’t any major protests recorded on Sunday.
