Before he got famous in every household of India because of Baahubali, SS Rajamouli was known in the North for Makkhi- the Hindi dubbed version of his Telugu hit Eega. The director along with the cast of RRR, Alia Bhatt, Ram Charan, and Jr. NTR appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show on Sunday. During the show, Jr. NTR revealed an astonishing fact related to Makkhi.
On hearing about this, Kapil joked,“Aap sab ko band kar dete ho (You lock everyone up). When you made Makkhi, you locked the flies up in the fridge. When you made Baahubali, you locked up Prabhas in Film City for five years.”
Rajamouli also shared that his driver was opposed to the idea of him making Makkhi. He said, “My car driver got very angry that I am making a movie on a fly. He said, ‘Have you gone mad? Forget these flies and cockroaches, why can’t you make films with human beings?’”
Eega starred Nani, Sudeep, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu and was released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. Rajamouli’s upcoming RRR was scheduled to release on January 7 in theatres but the release has been postponed indefinitely because of rising Omicron cases in the country. The movie stars Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn and Shriya Saran.
