Kannan Sekar, better known by his stage name Kanmani, is an Indian film director and producer who works in Malayalam cinema. He made his directorial debut with the film “Surya”, which was released on 16 October 2018. He has also produced films such as “Romeo” (2018), “Motta the Great” (2019), and the upcoming film “The Last Train” in 2021.
Kanmani Sekar was born on the 20th of August 1989 in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, and was brought up in Manacaud, Thrissur. He completed his schooling at St. Josephs’s Higher Secondary School, Manacaud, and college studies at Thrissur College. He is fond of acting as well as writing and has been active in theatre since his school days. He is also a keen sportsperson and enjoys playing table tennis and badminton.
