Sasikumar is an Indian film producer, director, actor, and producer. He has been working in the Tamil film industry since the release of his first film Subramaniapuram (2008). The film was praised for its original screenplay, script, direction editing, precise costumes, and sets that revived Madurai in the 1980s. Sasikumar directed, acted in, and produced the Subramaniapuram film in 2008, his first directorial venture. Subramaniapuram is a story of Vagabond youths living in Madurai in the 1980s, and their lives, which become caught up with the politics and criminality which eventually leads to tragedy. Subramaniapuram was shot over 85 days, was greeted with high praise, and became the highest-grossing film at the box office. The latest film of his Kaari trailer was released.
He began his involvement in films with his uncle Kanadasaamy when he was just 20 and he produced Sethu (1999). Sasikumar was the assistant director of the film. He became acquainted with Ameer who was working as an assistant. He was able to make an impression on the world. He was a part of director Ameer in the films Mounam Pesiyadhe (2002) and Raam (2005). It was during the beginning phases of the Ameer’s Paruthiveeran (2007) that he began his preparations for Subramaniapuram and stepped away from the production to focus on his own film.
