Maharashtra Health Minister’s question: Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope alleged that we have received 17 lakh corona vaccine doses in just a week, while UP has been given 48 lakh, MP 40 lakh and Gujarat 30 lakh vaccine doses.
Clashes between the Centre and the Maharashtra government over the corona vaccine are on the rise. The Maharashtra government has alleged discrimination in vaccine distribution. State Health Minister Rajesh Tope alleged that we have received only 17 lakh corona vaccine doses a week, while UP has been given 48 lakh vaccine doses, MP 40 lakh and Gujarat 30 lakh vaccine doses.
Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said, “I have spoken to Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan about the Centre’s discrimination, we have the highest number of cases, the highest population and more than 57,000 deaths, yet it is being discriminated against, on my complaint Harsh Vardhan said, “I look at it and correct it.”
Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that vaccination has been stopped in many areas including Satara, Panvel due to shortage of vaccine, we gave corona vaccine dose to the highest number of people, yet more stock was given to other states, we have demanded a dose of 4million corona vaccine every week.
Demanding an end to the age limit, Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that in a country like the US, corona vaccination is above 18 years of age, people over the same age are out most of the time, so it is very important to vaccinate these people, we have demanded the removal of the age limit from the Centre.
Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that the Central Government is helping us, but this should not help, Gujarat has a population of 60 million and has received more than 1crore vaccines so far, while Maharashtra has a population of 12 crore and has been given only 14 million doses so far.
Tell you that there is a shortage of corona vaccine in Maharashtra. Mumbai’s 26 corona centres have been closed due to lack of vaccine. Moreover, the rest of mumbai’s centres have only a two-day dose. In addition, vaccination centres have been closed in many areas including Satara, Sangli, Panvel due to shortage of vaccine
