Men's Tennis Finishes 2022 No. 10 in ITA's Atlantic Region


TEMPE, Ariz. – – The Temple men’s tennis team concluded in 2022. The team was ranked No. 10 in the last ITA Collegiate Tennis Division I Men’s Regional Rankings placing at No. 10. Overall, the Atlantic Region.

“The Atlantic is one of the top regions in the country with the 2022 National Champions, University of Virginia. There are a lot of strong teams, so being in the top 10 is an honor, but we look to keep improving and getting better,” said the head coach Steve Mauro. “All of our starters are returning to next year’s team and we are looking forward to getting to work for next season and accomplishing great things!”

Temple ended this season sporting a record of 12-10 overall and swept five opponents. The Owls had an intense schedule, with seven opponents who were among their top-60 ITA rankings at the date of their respective matches with four teams within the top37.

Individually, Junior Marin Delmas, The season ended up finishing the season ranked as No. 10, in the Atlantic and finished 18-7 overall and 13-5 in the dual, and a 5-5 in the tournament. Delmas was also in partnership with Louis Gorregues In the dual play, and 10-2 in tournament play to earn 19-7 overall marks.
