The festival of Diwali will be bitter-sweet for many this year, including the family of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. November 14, will mark six months since the tragic demise of the actor. Choosing to spread light, love and positivity, his sister Shweta Singh Kirti has encouraged fans to rekinde hope and help the needy, just the way her brother did.

“This Diwali…. Sushant Wali. Let’s share love and kindle hope in hearts of many. This Diwali let’s celebrate in SSR’S Way. #Diwali4SSR,” Shweta wrote on social media, along with an image of Sushant in his traditional best attire.

The image read, “This Diwali let’s celebrate in SSR’s way. Sushant loved to bring happiness in everyone’s life. Let us do some good work on this Diwali as Sushant did. Buy candles/diyas from local small retailers/poor/needy people so that they too can celebrate this festival. Try to distribute sweets to those who cannot afford. Keep humanity alive and help the needy.”

Sushant was found dead in his apartment on June 14. His death was reported as an apparant suicied, however, investigations into this case has subsequently been taken over by CBI, with the Narcotics Control Bureau and Enforcement Directorate.

Actor Shekhar Suman, on Monday urged fans of the late star to light a diya in honour his memory and pray for his soul.

“14th is Diwali which is bright n auspicious.14th is also a black date bcoz we lost SSR on the 14th, six months ago. What a paradox! So plz light diyas in his memory n pray that his soul shines wherever it is n forever. The path to justice is tough but we can pray,” Shekhar Suman tweeted.
