Vehicle topples in sleet, 7 rescued in J&K | India News – Times of India



JAMMU: Seven people trapped inside their vehicle after it slipped on sleet and toppled on the Mughal Road in Jammu and Kashmir were rescued by the Army on Saturday.
“The accident took place around 5pm near KM-24 on Mughal Road. All seven travellers, including three women, were trapped inside the vehicle. Seeing this, jawans from the Army post at Rajouri’s Poshana rushed to the spot in freezing conditions and saved the passengers,” Jammu-based defence spokesperson Lt Col Devender Anand said on Sunday.
The vehicle was successfully recovered and passengers provided necessary first aid and refreshments on the spot.
Two days ago, Army and police had together rescued passengers trapped on the Mughal Road after heavy snowfall in the area.
