Vimala Raman is an Indian film actress, dancer, and model who has worked in the Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu film industries. She was born on 23 January 1982 in Sydney, Australia into a Tamil family. Her father’s name is Pattabhi Raman and her mother’s name is Santha Raman. She was made her acting debut with the Tamil movie Poi directed by Kailasam Balachander. Vimala did her graduation in B.Sc Information Systems from the University of New South Wales, Sydney. In 2004, She has crowned the title “Miss India Australia” and in 2005, she was selected as Miss India Worldwide Beautiful Face. Vimala is a dancer who has been trained in Bharatanatyam since childhood. Vimala Raman, also an Australian swimming champion, is also a good volleyball and basketball player.
