This year, to make the day even more special, WWE has decided to run Austin-related content throughout the day.
The date March 16 is extremely special for all WWE fans across the globe. This date is dedicated to celebrating WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. The catchphrase, Austin 3:16 became popular after Stone Cold won the King of the Ring tournament by defeating Jake “The Snake” Roberts in the finals. This phrase initially came as a shocker to many people. What happened was, after winning the match, Austin made fun of The Snake’s religious faith. which is Christianity. He had said “Austin 3:16” as derision of the Bible verse John 3:16. Ever since, this phrase has remained evergreen.
The day has been dedicated to Austin 3:16 becauseif you write the date in MM:DD format, it turns out to be March 16. This year, to make the day even more special, WWE has decided to run Austin-related content throughout the day.
Austin took to Twitter on 3:16 Day. He shared a photo of himself in which he is seen wearing a blue Jersey with 3:16 written on it. The ace wrestler is also holding a title belt in his hand. Captioning the photo, he wrote, “3:16 Day Was a good day. Thank you.”

Iconic wrestler John Cena also took to Instagram to mark the day. He shared a graphic on which ‘Austin 3:16’ is written in bold letters.
Seth Rollins, another ace wrestler of WWE, took to his social media to greet all his fans on Austin 3:13 day. In a part of his post he wrote, “STONE COLD ON THE MOUNT RUSHMORE OF @WWE RIGHT NEXT TO ME!”
On the occasion, Drew McIntyre shared a photo with the Stone Cold. In the snap the two of them can be seen enjoying the ‘Broken Skull’ drink.
